We are excited to announce the Parent/Professional Advocacy League (PPAL) will hold its 5th Annual Conference and Celebration for Families and Professionals on May 29, 2015 at the Best Western Royal Plaza & Trade Center, Marlborough, MA from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
With over 500 parents and professionals attending, we will offer 12 workshops tackling a range of the most relevant and timely issues many of you face. From the effects of bullying to understanding how trauma effects our children, these presenters will engage and inform you, leaving you with a more enhanced understanding of these topics.
We are also proud to present our third Youth Track Workshops, giving young people ages 13-25 the opportunity to develop their skills as leaders and advocates.
As always we will have a range of exhibitors representing organizations serving the children’s mental health communities.
Our Keynote Speaker, Victoria Costello, is the author of A Lethal Inheritance, A Mother Uncovers the Science Behind Three Generations of mental Illness, and writes extensively for a varietly of publications including the HuffingtonPost and the Scientific American Mind, as well as for her own blog. Having extensive experience facing mental health challenges in her own family, Ms. Costello will speak to how mental disorders can run through families and how families can work to reverse that trend.
