HOPE (Helping Others Promote Equality) is a Worcester-based youth-led group for teens and young adults who deal with social, emotional and behavioral issues. Nearly 20 youth are actively participate in HOPE. They support each other, connect with other youth in the community and organize events. Many youth represent youth voice by speaking at public events, participating in conferences and creating materials for other youth. Mentors (former members of the group who are now young adults) work with and support the group weekly.
YAYA: Young Adults and Youth Advocacy (Young Adults Group) was created by Peer Mentors. The group consists of young people, ages 17-27, who meet twice a month for support, skill building, and dinner as we figure out how to live independently. We often invite different speakers in on topics like tattoo safety, buying a car, or the college application process.
